The Geilings Bräu brewery in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany, was integrated into the 400-year old Geilings Hof farm. Established in 2017, the regional Geilings Bräu brewery decided to expand its operations in 2019 due to increased demand.
The owners opted for weldable plastic COOL-FIT for the piping system for cold water supply to the new fermentation tanks, as the insulation forms a robust closed surface that is therefore very easy to clean. Straight-forward to plan and install, the pipes are also maintenance-free, have a higher energy-efficiency and are very durable.
The robustness and high quality of COOL-FIT fulfils the brewery's high quality and safety requirements. In addition, it is corrosion-free and quickly and easily installed thanks to its pre-insulation. With stainless steel pipes this would have required a much more extensive effort and probably would have required an external expert for stainless steel welding. What's more, COOL-FIT piping systems can be easily expanded.
3-in-1 plastic design looks more coherent than stainless steel with insulation. As opposed to conventional metal systems, the closed surface keeps the risk of contamination during cleaning and operation very low. In addition, the low thermal conductivity of plastic and the robust foam insulation make the system exceptionally energy-effcient.
- The low thermal conductivity of plastic and robust foam insulation minimise energy losses and lower operating costs.
- GF Piping Systems offers its customers an electrofusion unit and tool rental service to allow them to carry out installation themselves.
- Easy to keep clean thanks to the closed surface.
Currently, Geilings Bräu produces around 800 hectoliters of beer annually. In the future, the brewery plans to further increase its range of beer types, which makes the logistics increasingly demanding. The required new piping system should flexibly accommodate future expansions and be easy and quick to install, as the brewery often handles installations itself and operations can only be interrupted briefly.
