Blower technology in containers has the potential to make process air supply noticeably leaner, more flexible and easier. Aerzen has years of experience in this field from its own rental business and is now applying this know-how for a new solution. The concept – delivering compressed air from the ISO container.
Aerzen focuses on container solutions and maximum flexibility in use
Containerised solution advantages
Whether 20 or 40 feet, ISO containers have the great advantage of being standardised – right down to uniform lifting gear and truck trailers. Container solutions offer many additional advantages. They are are easy to stack, statically self-sufficient, available with effective sound insulation, and be placed close to where they are needed.
Aerzen takes advantage – complete blower or compressor stations can now be supplied for quick connection and commission on site.
For example, the high power density of, for example, 24,000m³/h compressed air per container with 3 x Aerzen Turbo AT 200 0.8s would ensure versatile application possibilities per container unit in connection with a high control range.
Containerised solutions also allow process air generation to be placed as close as possible to where they are needed. Shorter distances lead to savings in piping and energy due to decreasing pressure losses.
From a structural point of view, two strip foundations are all that is needed to mount the weatherproof process air container in a stable position.
In general, separate building permits are not necessary, nor are architectural or structural engineering services. And if the plant layout of a production company changes, the container can simply be moved along with it to ensure investment security.
Configuration and typical applications
Container solutions are suitable for all standard blower and compressor types from Aerzen.
Delta Blower, Hybrid, Screw and Aerzen Turbos can be installed as a mixed team, as a suitably designed complete package, including noise protection measures, suitable power components, such as frequency inverters and controls according to the requirements of the customer-specific application.
Aerzen sees applications with high air requirements as typical areas of use for process air from the ISO container. These include wastewater technology, the building materials industry and the broad field of bulk materials technology.
