Laboratory services

Laboratory specialising in the measurement of density. Services include production of standards for the calibration of density meters; hydrometer calibration; supply and calibration of density gradient column floats; pressure pyknometer calibration; and evaluation assessment and calibration of density measurement instruments

Laboratory services include: the chemical analysis of soils and leachates from landfill sites and contaminated land; the investigation of potable water, process water, surface water, sewage and industrial effluents; and the study of air quality and industrial gas emissions. On-site sampling includes borehole monitoring and CCTV pipeline

The laboratorys environmental services cover: soil and groundwater contamination monitoring against ICRCL, Dutch guidelines, Kelly classifications and US EPA target compounds; testing of potable waters against EC drinking water quality standards; testing of industrial effluents; air quality and stack emission surveys; and the identification

UKAS accredited analytical testing covering contaminated soil, water and gas samples; monitoring of respirable and fugative dusts; surface water surveys; asbestos surveys; and occupational health hygiene monitoring. In addition, gas measuring instrumentation and calibration services are offered, as well as scanning electron microscope facilities
