Founded in 1982, for more than 20 years Field Electronics Ltd have strived to provide unique products offering solutions to problems often overlooked by the mainstream Control and Instrumentation manufacturers. In the late 80's Field offered the first true remote I/O device to provide multiple analogue or digital channels able to support a wide variety of input source types and communicate over a wired network.

Today these products are not so unique or revolutionary. However, the company continue to offer devices that feature fully configurable channels accepting most commonly used signals and provide full interchannel and system isolation to a high level. As well as support for legacy protocols such as FIELD and ANSI X3, products support MODBUS RTU and MODBUS JBUS as standard. Latest instruments feature Industrial Ethernet (MODBUS TCP) and Fibre Optic communications and future devices will support new emerging Industrial Wireless standards such as ZIGBEE.
