Challenge

Hydroklear (HKS) was approached by an overseas customer with a need to expand the water treatment capabilities of their plant based in Hanoi, Vietnam. The plant had originally been specified as 20m3/hr, but with production almost tripling, the water demand far exceeded water supply.

HKS was asked to provide a water treatment extension that would give the client an additional 15m3/hr and thus guarantee safe and consistent water for now and the next period of growth.

Solution

HKS designed, built and shipped to Hanoi a full water treatment expansion plant in a 20ft container. The plant was fully built and there were only minor modifications required onsite to connect in the new expansion section.

This method of supplying a plant, fabricated and tested in the UK, meant that there was minimal fuss onsite. This reduced the downtime in production and minimised the actual cost of the system.

Outcome

Following full commissioning, the client was able to be confident that the plant provided would ensure that the quality of product leaving the factory was 100%, upto the required total output of 35m3/hr.
