Micropilot FMR20 is a sensor with Bluetooth® wireless technology for continuous level measurement for liquids in storage tanks, open basins, pump shafts and canal systems. It has applications in the water and wastewater industry and for utilities in all industries.

Micropilot FMR20 belongs to the first non-contact radars with Bluetooth® commissioning, operation and maintenance app. Signal curves can be shown via app on every Bluetooth®-enabled smartphone or tablet (iOS, Android). Operation is also possible via HART or remote display.

Operating principle

The Micropilot is a "downward-looking" measuring system, operating based on the time-of-flight method. It measures the distance from the reference point (process connection) to the product surface. Radar impulses are emitted by an antenna, reflected off the product surface and received again by the radar system.

Installation

The Micropilot FMR20 sensor can be wall-mounted, fixed or with adjustable angle, or installed with cantilever and pivot for positioning of the sensor over the surface.
Multiple devices can be operated in one tank without influencing each other.
