UDP-24 point-of-use water detector comprises two components: a detector module and a point detector connected together via a 1m jumper cable.

It needs a 24 volt power source. In the event of an alarm a volt-free contact is triggered, giving an alarm signal back to a BMS etc.

Operation

The Detector Module houses electronic circuitry; the Point Detector houses gold-plated detection pins. The jumper cable is connected to the top of the Point Detector via a 3-pin plug and socket. Conductive fluid touching the two detection pins simultaneously will cause the detector to enter an alarm condition. The ‘clean signal’ can be selected as normally open or normally closed via the PCB. A reset switch is located on the end of detection module plus a gland for connection from a 24 volt power supply to the PCB, and the return ‘clean signal’.

A stabilising bar is required as a means of fixing the point-of-use detector to the floor surface.

Key features

  • 24v power source required

  • Does not require an i-Zone control panel

  • For use within Plant rooms and other solid floor areas

  • For detection of conductive water

  • Manufactured from rust-proof, hardwearing ABS plastic

  • Gold-plated detecting pins

  • 2-component design – keeping head and electronic module separate

  • LED and internal alarm sounder in module to give local alarm indication

  • Multiple types of protection covers are available to prevent mechanical damage
