Floating mixers for Scottish Water's Bonnybridge STW
Aquasystems International supplied four 11kW Aquaturbo MIX-SL floating mixers to operate in the existing aeration lanes at Scottish Water’s Bonnybridge STW near Falkirk, which has an increased treatment demand in the summer months
Scottish Water’s Treatment plant at Bonnybridge near Falkirk has an increased treatment demand in the summer months due to the increased productivity of local businesses and the population growth - on top of the existing 7,000 inhabitants - due to visitors and tourists.
Work undertaken
Aquasystems International was contacted by Scottish Water in 2019 to enquire about installing floating mixers. Following discussions, four 11kW Aquaturbo MIX-SL floating mixers were purchased to operate in the existing aeration lanes at the Works.
Outcome
A spokesman for Scottish Water complimented Aquasystems International NV for their fine workmanship and the ease of installation and commissioning. The Works meets its increased demands by utilising the additional Aquaturbo units continuously throughout the year.
