With over 30 years of experience in the craft of baking, the BÜSCH bakery is now known far beyond its location on the Lower Rhine. The quality products are delivered to more than 200 BÜSCH’s own branches in the region around Kamp-Lintfort. In 2020, the owner wanted to replace the existing refrigeration system in the production facility without interupting operations. The pre-insulated PE piping system COOL-FIT 4.0 proved to be a winning solution.
Due to the low weight of the plastic material, no heavy transport aids were necessary for carrying, as is often the case with metal systems.
Project background
At the BÜSCH bakery in Kamp-Lintfort, the latest baking techniques, expertise and experience, and a good deal of traditional handwork are used. Quality is very important, and of course, this also applies to the technical equipment in use. In the search for a suitable new refrigeration system, the task was to find a solution to meet these expectations. It had to be possible to install the new system during ongoing operations, as the daily production cannot be interrupted. In addition, the sustainability of the new system was an important factor, especially the ability for it to fi t within the existing structural design, the weight of the system, and its use of a natural refrigerant.
Selected technical solution
With its load capacity and quality, COOL-FIT 4.0 meets the high hygiene and safety requirements as desired. As the pipe and fittings are preinsulated, only one trade is needed for assembly afterward.
The planning and implementation took place in cooperation with Kälte Klima Peters and Schiessl Kälte.
The result
The 3-in-1 welded plastic construction is corrosion and maintenance- free for the entire service life of the equipment and is easy to keep clean. Unlike conventional systems made of metal,
COOL-FIT has a uniformly closed surface – so the risk of poisoning during cleaning and operation is minimized. All surfaces are sealed and therefore UV-resistant and protected from rain and all other influences.
