MSE Hiller DAF units have capacities from 4 to 100m3/hr. The compact, high-performing systems help meet discharge consents and reduce trade effluent bills.

DAF units clean wastewater by dissolving air in the water under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank basin, in order to remove suspended matter such as oil or solids.

Units come complete with:

  • containerised coagulant dosing, pH correction and polymer dosing systems

  • feed and sludge transfer pumps all pre-piped, pre-wired, tested and ready for use

MSE Hiller DAF units are very widely used in treating the industrial wastewater effluents from food factories, oil refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants, paper mills, general water treatment and similar industrial facilities.

GEM flotation technology

If onsite space is an issue, then the next generation GEM flotation technology allows for compact treatment systems up to 50% smaller than conventional DAF technologies, as well as allowing for the possibility of plant upgrades to boost capacity by up to 30%.

GEM systems induce air into 100% of the waste stream and separates solids and liquids using CWT’s patented technology. Capacities from 3 to 250m3/hr are available.

These systems offer effective solutions for the removal of solids from wastewater streams, offering a number of advantages, including:

  • Small plant footprint

  • Higher sludge solids content (typically 4%TS vs 1%TS) resulting in a much lower sludge volume

  • Ability to handle bulking solids that tend to float

  • Reliable and consistent effluent quality
