GVF Sub-vertical Mechanical Fine Bar Screens are mechanical screening units for medium-fine screening in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. They're available in eight standard channel widths from 400mm to 1,400mm, with wider and intermediate sizes available on request. A robust steel frame holds a stainless steel bar filter, with chain-driven rakes continuously clearing the bars and conveying captured solids to a discharge point.

  • Fine bar spacing (6–10mm) for high-protection screening of municipal and industrial wastewater

  • Eight standard channel widths from 400mm to 1,400mm, up to 2,000mm on request

  • Stainless steel rake tines, precision laser-cut for consistent alignment with fine bar spacing

  • Self-lubricating bronze bush in a sealed casing reduces maintenance needs

  • No need to remove the screen from the channel for routine servicing

  • Optional goose-neck discharge increases the incline angle up to 90°

Performance

  • Screening aperture: 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm bar spacing

  • Installed motor power: 0.55kW (GVF 400–800) or 0.75kW (GVF 1000–1400)

  • 4 or more cleaning rakes, depending on screen height, for continuous bar clearing

Options and variations

  • Intermediate channel widths and units up to 2,000mm available on request

  • Custom screening zone heights beyond the standard 1m

  • Goose-neck discharge option, increasing incline angle from 75° up to 90°

  • Accessory available to stop the rake when out of the water, protecting against dry-running
