Puriflo dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems come in a number of standard sizes, for example, for flotation areas of 4 x 1, 4 x 2 and 6 x 2m.

Puriflo DAF systems are packaged units that are piped, wired and tested prior to delivery.

The systems only require a feed pipe, discharge pipe, sludge pipe, a connection to chemical tanks, and a power supply. As a result, replacing an existing unit is often possible to complete over a long weekend.

Main advantages

  • Open-top reaction tanks are used, which means that the chemical treatment process is visible at all times, and if for any reason performance falls off, it is immediately obvious to the operator. This has an advantage over systems that use a coil pipe flocculator that hides the treatment process.

  • The whitewater system of the Puriflo DAF unit needs no operator adjustment. This is a key feature of the design, which means that multiple needle valves are not required to inject whitewater at various points, as is necessary for the coil pipe flocculator system.

Full commissioning and instruction of system operators is carried out.

Comprehensive operation and maintenance manuals contain daily and weekly check lists.

Puriflo DAF systems are fully guarded and comply with CE and health and safety regulations.
