Self-contained unit that separates oil from water by passing water through an oil-attracting media.

Developed in-house and aimed at the construction and environmental remediation industries, the separator is ideal for above-ground applications and treatment capacities of 20m per hour depending on application.

The unit works by passing oily water through an Oleophilic media, where the oils become attached to the surface of the media. Individual droplets coalesce into larger ones until they are big enough for the buoyancy forces to overcome the surface adhesion, at which point they break free of the media and rise rapidly to the surface.

The coalescing media used with the CM400 unit has been designed to overcome media clogging in silt laden oily waters.

As part of a modular system, it may be operated in conjunction with a Lamella Settlement Unit should the feed also contain solids in suspension.
