The Ytron Y directed jet mixing system is design to give air-free mixing that far exceeds the capabilities of standard agitators.

The design of the Ytron Y mixing head generates and axial flow of fluid giving rapid homogeneous mixing.

This combined with the stator tube ensures that vortex, commonly associated with impeller mixers, does not occur, thus minimising the possibility of air entrainment.

Advantages

  • Axial flow pattern
  • Perfectly homogeneous mixing
  • No air entrainment
  • No sedimentation, even with heavy suspensions
  • Very short process times due to extremely rapid circulation in the vessel
  • No floating of product on the surface
  • Rapid mixing of entire container contents

The axial flow can be used in conjunction with the ByPass tube as a method of direct incorporation of powders or liquids.

Flow of the fluid through the head generates a partial vacuum at the base of the ByPass tube and this draws powder or liquid directly into the mixing head where it is immediately dispersed.

This removes many of the issues associated with powder additions such as wetting time and loss of unmixed product to the vessel walls.

High shear rotor options are available.
