The management of Matchless Ltd has 55 years of experience in fluid transfer equipment and its applications.

The introduction of Unipump is part of that development and is now the only hand pump made from these materials, with a suction vacuum lift and rapid dispensing of all types of fluids.

The managing director was trained by his own father who invented several types of equipment in lubricant transfer, petrol and paraffin control valves for tractors in 1950. He was worked at the bench and at the age of fifteen and a half was producing them for his father with a production run of 100 a week, on the basis that when the job was done correctly and fit for sale he could take time off for the weekend. This teaching led him to be self-motivated and become a technical sales manager for a small Liverpool company. After 10 years there offering a wide range of equipment including pumps, he became attracted to the mass numbers that were needed for the oil industry. He subsequently developed his own - the Unipump.
