The 8640 valve unit system is designed to control and automate pneumatic valves in process applications. It features systematic modular construction and a combination of pneumatic and electrical interfaces, meaning that it can be used to solve a diverse range of problems.
By putting together a row of pneumatic modules with different numbers of valves, 2 to 24 valve functionalities may be realised on one valve unit.
Applications
TheAirLINE Quick can be used in hygienic processes, such as in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industries with a stainless steel adapter plate and connections
For less critical applications, a lower cost anodised aluminium model is available, with pneumatic connections manufactured from nickel-plated brass.
Installation
Electrical connectivity is achieved by either fieldbus interfaces, common connection (parallel connection technique) or multipin interfaces. The valves allow different applications to be covered. Bodies and connection modules are made of high-quality plastic (polyamide) and are easy to assemble by means of the built-in snap connectors.
The AirLINE Quick mounting system consists of an adapter plate integrated at the pneumatic connection of the AirLINE automation system. The adapter plate enables fast and easy mounting directly on the wall or floor of the control cabinet. An additional plate on the outside provides for added stability.
With AirLINE Quick, all pneumatic connections can be mounted directly on the control cabinet base or side eliminating the need for bulkhead connectors.
Also integrated is the fieldbus communication and modular I/O for an altogether smaller design of control cabinets. Additional components such as pipes, cables or control cabinet connections are eliminated, due to direct mounting, further reducing the time needed for installation and commissioning.
