Corgin was contacted to assess odours coming from septic sewage flowing into the inlet works of a sewage treatment plant.
The plant was overlooked by the rear of an imposing neighbouring residence with views over the coastline and several acres of gardens. The occupants of the property had complained on several occasion about the odours, particularly because their property was used regularly for entertainment and functions.
Shortly after the inspection, and just prior to a large weekend garden party of 150 guests and a number of dignitaries, Corgin was contacted to install and commission a successful odour control solution ASAP.
After being contacted on the Wednesday, Corgin was on site on the Thursday morning with an OdourScreen mobile odour control system, demonstrating the benefits to the client.
The solution was quickly approved and installed. An additional 55no extension nozzles were installed around the inlet screens, grit removal areas and primary settlement tanks where turbulence at the outlet weirs was generating odours.
The weekend of the garden party passed without complaints, much to the relief of the client and the OdourScreen and extension nozzles were retained to ensure protection against any future complaints.
