The Hydro Cyclone seperator is a low-cost means of significantly removing solid debris from fluid systems. They can be used on their own in cooling water and heating circuits or in conjunction with fine filtration systems.
Contaminated water enters tangentially into the Hydro Cyclone housing. This causes the water to spin throwing the contaminated particles to the side of the unit. These then migrate down the wall of the Hydro Cyclone and are collected in the chamber at the bottom of the unit.
A blown down valve with an adjustable timer allows the collected solids to be discharged from the unit at regular intervals. Clean water migrates to the centre of the Hydro Cyclone and is discharged through the top of the unit.
