Project detail
Aquasystems International NV UK Manager Peter Wood had been working with the Valero design, process and purchasing sections of the company for a number of years on several applications within the effluent plant.
Valero initially used 4 x 18.5kW, 2 x 22kW and 2 x 45kW Aquaturbo® aerators on a trial basis for a 6 month period and during this time the effluent plant outlet levels were well below the consent set points.
Following this extended trial period, Valero purchased 8 x 30kW Aquaturbo® AER-AS floating aerators.
Aquasystems International supplied and commissioned the aerators on time and within budget.
Outcome
Valero has been extremely pleased with the design, quality and performance. COD levels have been significantly reduced, as have suspended solids and ammonia.
