The IRDi-24 point of use oil detector is made up of two components: the detector module and the point of use detector, connected together via a 1m jumper cable.

Both the detector module and point of use detector are manufactured from STAREX General ABS (SD-0150) plastic.

The detector module houses the electronic circuitry and the point of use detector houses the infra-red transmitter / receiver, which extends from the bottom of the detector.

A reflective area (50mm diameter) must be painted on the floor with paint capable of reflecting light (eg standard white gloss paint).

The jumper cable is connected to the top of the point of use detector via a 3-pin plug and socket.

A red LED will glow to indicate an alarm condition. Alarm status and monitoring is via a network, using a CAN bus system.

A stabilising bar is required, as a means of fixing the point of use detector to the floor surface.

  • For use within plant rooms and other solid floor areas
  • For the detection of oil, and all other non-conductive liquids
  • Manufactured from rust-proof and hard-wearing ABS plastic
  • Two component design - keeping head and electronic module separate
  • LED and internal alarm sounder in module to give local alarm indication
  • Multiple types of protection covers are available to prevent mechanical damage
  • For connection to i-Zone or i-Zone Touch control panels
