The original had become distorted over time and was no longer fit for purpose as it regularly became blocked with leaves and other debris. Althon manufactured and delivered a multi–level cranked trash screen with a mesh walkway for maintenance. A pedestrian guardrail and step irons for safe access to inspect the lower section of the trash screen were also provided.
