The area velocity principle uses a submersible sensor fixed to the bottom of a pipe or channel that measures flow velocity and depth. By entering the channel dimensions the volumetric flow in the channel or pipe is computed and instantaneous flow and totalised volume is displayed.
With a 3” vibrant LCD graphics display and a 4-button interface, programming is extremely simple and user-friendly in both metric and imperial units. The USM-AVF comes complete with a 20-year internal datalogger, 4-20mA output, RS485 Modbus communications port and 3 fully programmable relays.
