The Aqualarm CD-X water leak detection cable is comprised of two flat tinned copper braids separated, and protected, by Helegaine self-extinguishing nylon 66 sleeves. This type of configuration gives protection to the sensing cores against dust, other types of conductive contamination and mechanical damage. The cable is available in modular lengths of 1, 2, 5 and 10m. Each cable is pre-terminated with a male and female locking line plug and socket.

Installation

Where protection is required from a liquid leaking from pipework, the detecting cable should be secured to the underside of the pipework by cable ties after all vapour seal or thermal protection has been installed, or secured to the floor slab immediately below the pipework using clips or ties. Where protection is required from a liquid leaking from equipment, ie water cooled-computers, chiller plant, air conditioning units etc, the detecting cable should be secured to the floor slab around the equipment.
