Chemical Dosing System satisfying phosphorus removal requirements
Colloide collaborated with Welsh Water and Morgan Sindall Construction on a significant project in Kingstone and Madley in Herefordshire, which involved a Chemical Dosing System to satisfy the phosphorus removal requirements of the project.
The chemical dosing system consists of a chemical storage tank, chemical fill point and dosing kiosk. The main goal of the project was to optimise wastewater treatment processes.
The works were constructed in the late 1940’s and have been modified on several occasions over the years to accommodate the increasing population in the area. Welsh Water said the work formed part of a £836m investment in the waste water infrastructure by 2025 and within Kingstone, £3.6m would go towards upgrading the treatment plant.
The case study showcases how Colloide contributed to this ongoing development at Kingstone and Madley Wastewater Treatment Works.
