Leopold FilterWorx gravity media filtration system is designed for water and wastewater treatment, desalination pretreatment, and water reuse. Removes particulates, turbidity, organics, iron, manganese, and nutrients. Suitable for new or existing installations with multiple underdrain and media options.
- Gravity media filter for potable water, wastewater, desalination pretreatment, and biologically active filtration
- Removes particulates, turbidity, organics, iron, manganese, total suspended solids, ortho-phosphorus, nitrate, and silt
- Compatible with water-only, sequential air/water, and concurrent air/water backwash methods
- Works with flat bottom, front, centre, and H-flume types
- Automatic, manual, or semi-automatic control systems
- Choice of underdrains: Type XA, Type S, Type S Recycled Materials, Type SL
- Media options include silica sand, high density sand, anthracite, granular activated carbon, and expanded clay
- Meets AWWA, ASTM, and British DWI standards
Applications
- Potable drinking water treatment
- Tertiary wastewater treatment
- Nutrient removal in water or wastewater
- Reverse osmosis membrane desalination pretreatment
- Water reuse
- Biologically active filtration (BAF)
