SYGEF PVDF is a range of fluoropolymer welded piping systems for chemical and industrial water. Made from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for outstanding chemical and temperature performance for reliable operation in aggressive environments. Available in two variants: SYGEF Standard, for hot and cold chemical and industrial water applications, and SYGEF Plus with high purity polyvinylidene fluoride.
Chemical resistance to a wide range of aggressive substances
Operating temperature range from -20°C to +140°C
Non-conductive material with superior fire behaviour
High performance under UV, weather impact and abrasion
Long-lasting system lifetime
SYGEF Plus manufactured under ISO Class 5 (100) cleanroom conditions
SYGEF Plus products exceed SEMI F57 leach-out requirements
SYGEF Plus offers 100% traceability and fast UPW ramp-up
Compatible with other piping materials via adapters, transition fittings and unions
IR fusion and BCF (Bead and Crevice Free) fusion jointing technologies
Materials
SYGEF Standard is manufactured from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
SYGEF Plus uses virgin high-purity PVDF-HP raw material.
Performance
Operating temperature range: -20°C to +140°C
Chemical resistance to a broad range of aggressive media
Low electrical conductivity and high flame retardancy
Low biological growth (SYGEF Plus)
Installation
Systems are jointed using two fusion technologies:
IR (Infrared) fusion - contact-free, contamination-free welding with a minimal weld bead for excellent flow in the fusion area
BCF (Bead and Crevice Free) fusion - eliminates weld beads and crevices inside and outside welded components, minimising the risk of biological growth for high-purity applications
Design and support
Specialist piping consultants available to support project specification
Supported by GF's Planning Fundamentals series, covering Design and Installation, Valves and Actuators, and Measurement and Control
Options and variations
SYGEF Standard - chemical process, water treatment, energy and mining applications
SYGEF Plus - microelectronics and other high-purity applications
SYGEF ECTFE - highly concentrated acids or bases in extreme conditions
Accreditations
Meets ISO 10931, CEN, DIN and ANSI standards
Dedicated SYGEF products additionally meet SEMI F57, DIBT, FDA CFR 21 177.1520, USP Class VI, ASME-BPE, NSF/ANSI Standard 51 and FM-4910
All systems carry UL 94-V0 fire rating
