The Filter Company undertook a turnkey project to install a waste paper trim handling system for a company specialising in customised mailing runs.
Solution
The system collects the paper edge trim from the five print machines, chops it and conveys it to an air separator outside the print room. The carrier air is then filtered in a HSE reverse jet dust collector and discharged back into the print room through a HEPA filter.
The project incorporated a number of specialist features requested by the client:
The collection system had to be compact and fit within the limits of the warehouse storage racks
A smart control panel was included to adjust the air flow volume to the number of printers running
A non-venting explosion suppression system mean that the dust collector could be located in the warehouse
The air was returned to the print room through HEPA filters to conserve energy and maintain a positive pressure air balance.
The Filter Company supplied the dust extraction equipment and the smart control system as well as providing a full turnkey installation package.
Outcome
The project was completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
