Aquabio's reverse osmosis systems provide demineralised water reuse for industrial settings, working downstream of their AMBR membrane bioreactor technologies. Two system variants are available to suit different operational requirements.
ROne™
Aquabio's advanced RO system, designed for maximum flexibility and efficiency. By incorporating a variable speed reject recirculation pump, a portion of the concentrate stream is recirculated back through the system, achieving water recovery of up to 95%. This configuration adapts to variable feed flows and changing process conditions, maintaining consistent recovery without unnecessary on/off cycling, resulting in continuous stable operation and minimal downtime.
Conventional RO
Multi-stage concentrate staging configuration and has been the backbone of Aquabio's water reuse offering since their first installation in 2001. Suited to applications requiring higher permeate quality, a lower degree of recovery, flexibility in operation or where a lower capital cost is a priority.
Key features
Water recovery up to 95% (ROne™) via reject recirculation, versus typically up to 75% on conventional RO
Variable speed control adapts to changing feed flows, optimising energy use and preventing unnecessary on/off cycles
Compact, modular design supports easy installation and future capacity upgrades
Automated operation with permanent cleaning system — all required valves and pipework included — to minimise downtime
Optional pH control, remineralisation, temperature adjustment, and residual disinfection
Complies with UK Private Water Supply Regulations 2016 for potable water reuse
Standardised RO skid for rapid procurement and integration with upstream and downstream equipment
Applications
Boiler feed water reuse,
CIP (clean-in-place) water reuse
Potable water reuse for food washing
Complete factory water supply
Technical support
After sales and support, design and project delivery, and plant operation services are available across both systems.
