Turbiscan equipment offers stability and ageing analysis of concentrated colloidal systems. The on-line systems detect early changes in particle size and concentration without dilution.

Turbiscans optical sensor consists of a pulsed near-infrared light source and two synchronous detectors.

The transmission detector picks up the light transmitted through the product. The backscattering detector receives the light backscattered by the product.

The optical sensor acquires transmission and backscattering data
up to every 0.1 seconds.

The signal is first treated by TurbiScans online current-to-voltage converter. Software then handles data acquisition, real time indication of the transmitted and backscattered intensities and computer dialogue.

Applications include polymers, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, wastewater treatment, agro-chemicals, pigments and inks, paints and paper.
