V186/V86 valves keep the working or system-related pressures constant, balance out pressure pulsation and reduce pressure peaks in process systems. They are used in microelectronics, measurement and control, the chemical process industry and in water treatment.

If the inlet pressure rises above the set value, the pressurised valve piston is lifted against the spring force. Consequently, the valve opens and there is a reduction of pressure in the outlet pipe. The valve closes as soon as the inlet pressure sinks below the pre-set spring tension.

The valve begins to close or open until a state of equilibrium is re-established. The outlet pressure remains constant irrespective of an increasing or decreasing inlet pressure.

All parts which come into contact with the medium are made of highly resistant plastics - either PVC-U, PP or PVDF. The actuator is separated and hermetically sealed from the flow section by the control diaphragm. The valve has small standard tolerances, due to the large control surface and the spiral spring.
