The Lovibond® COD System comprises the RD125 Thermoreactor, the MD 100 COD Photometer providing 24 simultaneous measurements, and two packs of COD (small scale sealed tube) tubes: one set for LR measurements of 0-150 mg/l and one for MR measurements of 0-1500 mg/l. Vials are also available for 0-15000 mg/l.

The thermoreactor enables rapid heating and digestion of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) vials in a safe, secure environment. An easy-to-use membrane keypad enables users to select the required temperature from a choice of three options: 100, 120 or 150°C; with three pre-selection times of 30, 60 and 120 minutes. Alternatively, the unit can be set for continuous operation.

Designed to heat from 20°C to 150°C in 12 minutes, the reactor automatically switches off when digestion is complete and gives an LED indication with a short alarm. As a safety precaution, the reactor also protects against overheating at 190°C.

The MD 100 COD Photometer measures all 3 Lovibond® range vials (0-150, 0-1500, 0-15000) in mg/l O2. The Photometers waterproof design, large back-lit digital display and user-friendly keypad ensure maximum operating reliability and convenience.
