The RJ-2000® emergency chlorine scrubber has a patented process designed to contain and neutralise chlorine vapours in response to a gas leak or catastrophic cylinder failure. It has a compact footprint and a low profile design.

The RJ-2000® has a distinctive, horizontal flow path with a proprietary caustic distribution network that allows it to absorbs more than 99.996% of the chlorine gas entering the scrubber. When a leak occurs, the pump and fan start automatically. The fan creates a vacuum to containt he chlorine gas and deliver it to the scrubber. The pump circulates concentrated caustic solution over the scrubber packing to absorb virtually all of the chlorine gas.

The system is completely factory assembled and tested, for easy, 'plug-and-play' installation.

The RJ-2000® emergency chlorine scrubber has been tested by an independent, certified laboratory in a full 1-ton chlorine gas release. During the test a catastrophic accident was stimulated with chlorine release rates of 100lb/min. The scrubber saw inlet chlorine concentrations in excess of 500,000ppm and outlet concentrations of less than 1ppm, which is safely below the 5ppm UFC limit.

The RJ-2000® scrubbers are also available to neutralise 2 or 3-tonnes of chlorine gas. Larger bulk systems can be provided for up to 100-tonnes.
