PCE Instruments, a manufacturer and supplier of high-end testing, weighing, laboratory and control equipment, has recently added a new model (the PCE-660) to its range of low-cost infrared thermometers.

The PCE-660 is designed to measure temperatures of between -50 and 380°C (-58 to 716°F) at an accuracy of ±4 °C, ±2 % or ±2 °C, depending on the measured temperature.

The PCE-660 is ideal for measuring very hot or moving objects from a safe distance, and is therefore particularly suitable for use in industrial environments in the control of electrical systems and HVAC systems.

Key features of the PCE-660

  • Suitable for very hot or moving objects from a safe distance
  • A bright display, suitable for use in dark environments
  • Easy targeting using a visible red laser beam
  • Optical resolution of 13:1 (with adjustable emissivity of between 0.1 and 1.0)
  • Automatic shut-off after 15 minutes for increased battery life

PCE Instruments is headquartered in Germany with several branches throughout the world, including the UK and the US.
