GEMÜ 490 is a butterfly valve with a bare shaft designed for use with chemicals, corrosive liquids and high purity water.  The disc and shaft are one piece. The body material is stainless steel, ductile iron or steel. The body liner is PFA or PTFE.

Integral to the corrosion resistance of the valve is its high specification liner seal. The shaft seal system is also designed to prevent dangerous media leaks to atmosphere.
