Smart Storm developed the unique NeutraliZer mobile dosing system for automatically reducing the alkalinity of wastewater. This works by dissolving carbon dioxide (CO2) into the flow to reduce the pH to between 7 and 10, making it safe for discharge.

Advanced gas mixing technology ensures a supply of the CO2 is mixed into the constant feed of pumped wastewater, offering a unique solution to the construction industry.

This intelligent control system can vary the feed of gas so that CO2 is only delivered when the pH deviates from the discharge control value. This means that gas is only used when the pH changes.

The amount of CO2 used will be dependent on the effluent pH strength, speed of reaction, and gas pressure.

The unit can also be set up to balance pH with caustic and acid, where it is not prohibited. This allows for balancing of acidic effluent as well as alkaline, a common requirement on industrial and manufacturing sites.

The mobile pH balancing unit is available for hire or purchase from Smart Storm.
