AnMBR LE™ is a low-rate, completely mixed anaerobic reactor combined with a low energy UF membrane separation system for treating highly concentrated organic wastewater. Designed for high COD removal and biogas recovery, it retains all solids, tolerates high TSS, salinity, and fats, and operates with low energy use and simplified pre-treatment.
- Membrane-based anaerobic wastewater treatment system for high-strength effluent
- Removes over 98% total COD
- Handles COD concentrations from 15g/l to 250g/l
- Greater tolerance of TSS, salinity, and fats, oil, and grease
- No gas scouring or flocculants/coagulants required
- Low energy biomass separation and reduced membrane replacement costs
- Modular design for easy expansion
- External servicing with no cranes or working at height needed
Applications
- Treatment of highly concentrated organic wastewater in food and beverage, brewery, distillery, dairy, maltings, chemical, and meat and poultry processing industries
- Suitable for low to medium flow rates from 90m³/day to 2500m³/day
- When sludge bed and granular AD technologies are unsuitable
- Where high TSS, salinity, or fats, oil, and grease are present
- Combined water re-use for potable or demineralised applications
