ATi's Q45C4 4-electrode conductivity monitor is suitable for monitoring almost any water-based process including, drinking water, cooling water and process wash water accurately and reliably.

In a traditional 4-electrode sensor, the electrodes are used to generate a "drive potential" through the aqueous solutions and to measure the level of current flow as the conductivity of the solution varies.

The Q45C4 4-electrode conductivity monitor splits the drive potential and measurement functions between the two sets of electrodes. This eliminates the polarisation effects that can limit a 2-electrode sensor to a narrow funcational range.

The monitor has excellent resistance to electrode coatings that can cause decreased accuracy. Any changes in the electrode condition are compensated for, allowing even partially fouled sensors to continue to provide accurate measurements.

In the event that the sensor needs cleaning, the monitor provides an alert and displays a “fouled sensor” warning.
