The DIOX-C uses Nadolyt C25 (sodium chlorite, NaClO2) and chlorine gas (CL2) as the basic chemicals for the economical generation of chlorine dioxide.
Three system types are available for capacities of 1500, 3000 or 4500g/h chlorine dioxide.
Chlorine gas is mixed with operating water to form a solution that is then fed to a reaction tank. At the same time, Nadolyt solution is drawn from a storage tank by a metering pump.
Once the chemicals have fully reacted, the concentrated chlorine dioxide solution is diluted with water at the reactor outlet before it is passed to the chlorine dioxide storage tank. The quantity of the dilution water is adjusted to give the required strength of the chlorine dioxide.
During the filling process the gas produced in the chlorine dioxide storage tank is aspirated by an injector. During off periods, degassing is prevented by an absorber unit.
All electrical functions and controls of the generator are grouped in an integral control box and interlocked in such a way that the mixing ratio of chlorine and sodium chlorite, as well as the pre-selected strength of the chlorine dioxide solution, are guaranteed.
