Air / gas purification

(115)

Indoor air quality (IAQ) can be compromised by micro-organisms, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, such as CO2, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as other airborne particles. Read More

Such polluted conditions may be immediately harmful to health or cause longer term problems, including increased absenteeism, a lack of concentration amongst employees and a stuffy environment.

Air / gas filters can be used to improve air quality in both industrial and commercial applications.

Common filters include:
- Activated carbon filters , which remove odours and VOCs from the air using activated carbon, a porous material with a large surface area that absorbs a large number of pollutants.
- Cyclonic filters , or separators, can remove large volumes of particles from gases using a high-speed, rotating airflow.
- Electrostatic filters use a static charge to remove particles as small as 0.01 micron from air, and other gases.

Other filter types available include cartridge filters, carbon filters, bag filters and pulse jet filters.
