Halia® Aeration Systems comprise high-rate oxygenation and aeration equipment that ensure efficient removal of COD, BOD, ammonia and sludge solids from municipal and industrial wastewater.

The Halia® Aeration System can be used for retrofit applications in existing aerobic wastewater treatment plants, or as a fixed system for new or refurbished activated sludge basins. It provides high rate oxygenation and process mixing.

Oxygen is injected into a pumped sidestream recycle at a Venturi. The oxygenated sidestream is then returned to the main aeration basin, where it is distributed as small oxygen bubbles into the base of the treatment basin.

A standard range of skid-mounted units can provide up to 3 tonnes/day of dissolved oxygen to an existing basin to provide an increase in capacity of the treatment plant, or to address process issues such as odour and foaming.
