The Vitox® high-rate oxygen dissolving process is suitable for a range of applications from chemical effluent to drinking water treatment.

Vitox systems are extremely efficient and powerful dissolution systems for upgrading existing plants and for purpose-built systems.

These systems are ideal solutions for permanent or intermittent effluent overloading or oxygenation shortfall.

Vitox® works by injecting oxygen gas into the throat of a venturi injector on a pressurised sidestream of the process liquor.  Millions of fine bubbles are formed, which, under pressure, dissolve immediately.

The highly oxygenated liquor is returned to the process tank through a multi-nozzle sparge system.

The high velocity jetting action of the nozzles shatters any undissolved gas into micro bubbles and entrains the surrounding process liquor. The resulting intimate mixing of the full tank contents and oxygenated liquor gives excellent dissolution efficiency.

A Drop-In Vitox® unit can provide instant upgrading for overloaded activated sludge plants, or aerator breakdown. It can also be deployed rapidly to treat pollution spills in water courses before they spread.
